The interior decoration of Villanath was simply charming and created a cozy and pleasant atmosphere. The antique furniture, soft lighting, and beautiful artwork on the walls added a touch of elegance to the whole place. As a senior woman, I particularly appreciated how accessible the hotel was for people like me. There were handrails in the hallways and the stairs, making it easier for me to navigate, and the seating areas were comfortable with enough space to relax and socialize with other guests.
I would have loved to see more activities or amenities specifically tailored for senior guests.

We stayed in a lovely property set in a very quiet area amidst the picturesque Jura mountains. The beautiful garden and hillside location offered breathtaking views. Our room was comfortable with attention to detail in its design. The host, Natalie, provided excellent service and a delicious continental breakfast. We also enjoyed a personalized dinner and engaging conversations. This welcoming atmosphere made us feel like we were visiting friends. The hike starting from the house was fantastic, and we even had the luxury of cooling off in the pool afterwards.
The dinner pricing was not transparent and the quality didn't meet expectations.

During my recent business trip to Bellegarde-sur-Valserine, my director chose Villanath as our accommodation. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's outdoor swimming pool, which allowed guests to take a refreshing dip and unwind after a long day of work. The pool area was well-maintained, providing a relaxing ambiance for guests to enjoy.
One minor issue I encountered was the strange layout of the room.

As a senior woman, I truly enjoyed the charming and rustic decoration of Villanath. The vintage furnishings and interesting ethnic collections created a unique atmosphere that made me feel like I was stepping back in time. The beautiful gardens and scenic views added to the overall charm of the hotel. I also appreciated the spacious bedrooms and well-decorated common areas, providing a comfortable and inviting space for guests. The friendly owner made me feel welcome and ensured that my stay was pleasant. The hotel's accessibility for senior individuals was also a plus, with easy access to power points, a shaving mirror in the bathroom, and a relaxed atmosphere.
The only thing I would ask for to improve the vacation for senior people would be clearer instructions and information about the hotel's facilities and services. It would have been helpful to have written or verbal instructions upon arrival regarding breakfast timings, check-out procedures, and any other important details.

We had a wonderful stay at Villanath for two nights while exploring the area. The property offers beautiful views, and we were lucky enough to have a clear view of Mont Blanc from our bedroom. Natalie and her son were amazing hosts, providing us with a delicious continental breakfast and helpful recommendations for our journey to Lyon. The warm and inviting atmosphere of the house made us feel right at home, and our room was charming and comfortable. The highlight was the incredibly comfortable bed, ensuring a restful night's sleep. We also appreciated the option for a spontaneous and delicious dinner cooked by Natalie, which was the perfect end to our long day of travel.
We would definitely recommend this hotel.

The outdoor swimming pool was a great way to relax and unwind after a long day of work.
Lack of hygiene with soap and bath amenities, poor soundproofing between rooms, limited information provided by staff, difficult parking situation, and overpriced breakfast.

Beautiful garden and views. Lovely swimming pool and surrounding. Rustic basic wacky faded charm. Attractive sitting room and dining area. Friendly owner.
Room without windows and with the toilet in front of the bed. Strong sewer smell from the shower.

Quirky charm, beautiful views, nice pool. Spacious room, interesting decor. Friendly owner.
Enjoyed sharing the bathroom with strangers and leaving my room at night to use it. Breakfast was just ok.

Quirky charm, stunning views, lovely pool. Spacious room, plenty of power points. Interesting decor. Friendly owner. Tremendous fun climbing on wash stand to open window blind and unloading car on steep hill. Minimalist breakfast, but who needs local cheeses and ham anyway? Totally worth the overpriced bill of Euro 140.00. Loved it.
I didn't appreciate the lack of soap, the tiny bath, the thin walls, the headless mannequin, the lack of instructions and the distant parking. Truly delightful.

The room was massive, with jaw-dropping views of Mont Blanc during sunset. The shared spaces were super comfortable and spacious. The continental breakfast was delicious and everything had a personal touch. We felt like we were invited by friends, with great home-cooked meals, good conversations, and enough privacy. The hike starting right from the property was awesome, and the pool was a treat after. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the room design was stunning, and the attention to detail was mind-blowing. The breakfast was just delicious. The hike in the Jura mountains the next day was perfect. We loved every bit of it and can't wait to come back.
